Local photographer, cyclist, kayaker, carpenter, and rock climber Tim Koerber is about as well rounded as they come. He wears a stoic grin on his face; there’s not much he isn’t good at. In his words: “I’d rather be good at lots of things than great at one thing.”
The Brevard High School graduate loves to take pictures…namely of things that haven’t happened yet.
One of his favorite past times is climbing with his brothers, and safety is their main concern while climbing. “It’s important to take breaks when you’re out there. Your mind may wander,” he said. He is headed to Washington State this summer to shoot photos at some national level mountain bike races.
He has a degree in new media art from UNC-Asheville and has shot photos all over the continent. One of his pictures, taken in Whitehorse, Yukon made into the semi-final rounds for the annual “picture of the year” contest on Pinkbike, a mountain bike media website.
